This is I’yana Houston, the owner, creator and premier event curator at The Event Collective.

The Event Collective is a Full Service Event Planning Company that specializes in all things unforgettable. I’yana is among the youngest event planners in the world and her age does not defy her expertise.

I’yana has worked alongside various powerful and acclaimed individuals and companies allowing her to build exceptional skills, connections and understanding. She is and has always been considered an old soul that is very established and knows what she wants which is just one thing that makes her great at what she does. I’yana is very intentional with every aspect of an event because she understands that they are all different.

  1. I enjoy modern luxury and spending time in nature. An Elegant Free Spirit if you will.

  2. I am OBSESSED with Smooth Jazz, Old School and R & B music. I acquired this lovely (personality) trait from my dad.

  3. I love my fuzzy socks and if I’ve been in heels all day you may catch me in them at the end of your event!

  4. I think Red Wine is a God send.

  5. Laughter and positive thoughts are the best medicines ! For me at least.

  6. I am a nurturer to a literal garden of beautiful plant babies (now growing up on me ! )

  7. I like to roller skate, however I am not that good but I feel that one day I’ll get better.

  8. I find life to be an adventurous human experience where we get to share moments and do whatever we like! Why not live the life of your dreams?!

  9. Honey Mustard is way better than yellow mustard - don’t argue, you know its the truth.

  10. I am very adamant about self care - it is a number one for me. The best way to take care of my clients is to make sure that I am also taking care of myself.

  11. Last but certainly not least, I love events and I love to have a good time. Let’s have some fun!
